Writing box in gold and silver lacquer very refined. The scenery depicts a landscape scene with a mountainside on the lid from which a waterfall, pines, bamboos and chrysanthemums emerge and inside the lid on a background of nashiji lacquer of powdered gold and silver oxidized A zigzag stream also among the bamboos, chrysanthemums and carnations. The whole is of a great refinement and a state quite exceptional according to the age. A few micro impacts and lacquer swings not very visible. The frame is in shibuishi (copper and silver). The suiteki (water dropper) is made of silvered. Origin: Japan. Period: Edo / Meiji 19th century. With 2 wooden boxes and black lacquered signed by the artist (tomobako).
