Rare épreuve en bronze à patine dorée , représentant un « Lièvre à l’arrêt » , par le sculpteur Alfred Dubucand (1828 – 1894) .
Le lièvre figure dressé sur ses longues pattes arrière , oreilles levées , il se redresse pour prendre plus de hauteur et mieux voir .
Le sculpteur dispose d’une grande capacité à capturer le mouvement en suspens , il restitue les animaux avec un grand sens du réalisme et du détail .
Signature du sculpteur « DUBUCAND » en creux , sur la terrasse naturaliste .
Sculpture d’édition ancienne , période seconde partie du XIXème siècle , circa 1880 .
Très bon état de conservation et de patine .

The hare is shown standing on its long hind legs , ears raised , it straightens up to gain more height to see better .
The sculptor has a great ability to capture suspended movement , he resituates the animals with a great sense of realism and detail .
