Lustre Marie-Antoinette, style Louis XVI en bronze ciselé et doré, cristal attribué à Baccarat, vers 1890
Ce lustre d’exception, de style Louis XVI dit « Marie-Antoinette », allie l’élégance du bronze ciselé et doré à la pureté du cristal. Ses six bras de lumière, disposés en une harmonieuse structure tige, s’ornent d’un fût en cristal taillé, souligné par un décor raffiné : plaquettes, descentes d’olives, perles, cristaux facettés, gouttes et fleurettes, le tout en cristal blanc légèrement fumé. Une boule pleine en cristal, sobre et lumineuse, en parachève la silhouette.
Attribué à la Maison Baccarat vers 1890, ce lustre incarne le savoir-faire français du XIXe siècle, où le luxe des matériaux rencontre la maîtrise du bronze et du cristal.

Baccarat :
En 1764, le roi Louis XV autorise Louis-Joseph de Montmorency-Laval, évêque de Metz, à établir une verrerie dans le village de Baccarat en Lorraine.
En 1824, Ismaël Robinet, ouvrier verrier de Baccarat, invente une pompe à air pistonné facilitant le soufflage du verre. L’année suivante, Baccarat développe la technique du pressé-moulé.
En 1855, Baccarat participe à la première Exposition universelle de Paris, présentant notamment deux candélabres et un lustre de dimensions monumentales.
Le 29 octobre 1860, Baccarat dépose sa marque de fabrique au tribunal de commerce de Paris : une carafe, un verre à pied et un gobelet inscrits dans un cercle. D’abord imprimée sur une étiquette en papier, l’estampille sera ensuite directement gravée sur la pièce.
Le cristal Baccarat, d’une excellente qualité, contient au moins 31,7 % de plomb, sans aucun défaut, et répond à un haut niveau d’exigence. La Cristallerie de Baccarat traverse les générations tout en restant un symbole de l’art de vivre à la française.

This exceptional chandelier, in the Louis XVI style known as « Marie-Antoinette, » combines the elegance of chiseled and gilded bronze with the purity of crystal. Its six candle arms, arranged in a graceful tiered structure, are adorned with a cut crystal column. The design is further enhanced by a refined array of crystal elements: plaques, olive drops, beads, faceted crystals, teardrops, and rosettes, all in slightly smoked white crystal. A solid crystal ball, both understated and luminous, completes its silhouette.
Attributed to the House of Baccarat around 1890, this chandelier embodies 19th-century French craftsmanship, where the luxury of materials meets the mastery of bronze and crystal work.

Condition:
In excellent condition, this chandelier has been carefully cleaned and retains its original gilding, with a preserved luster. Fully wired to European standards, it can be adapted to American standards upon request.
Baccarat:
In 1764, King Louis XV granted Louis-Joseph de Montmorency-Laval, Bishop of Metz, permission to establish a glassworks in the village of Baccarat in Lorraine.
In 1824, Ismaël Robinet, a glassworker from Baccarat, invented a piston-powered air pump that facilitated glass blowing. The following year, Baccarat developed the pressed-molded technique.
In 1855, Baccarat participated in the first Paris World’s Fair, showcasing two candelabras and a chandelier of monumental dimensions.
