Belle Epoque era French sterling silver sugar shaker, caster or muffineer. The caster features a cut and engraved flowers decorated crystal body . The sterling mounts feature a motif of Louis XVI/Rococo style rocailles. The lid with elegant spiral fluting and rocailles, with floral form pierce work and topped by a superb casted finial resembling stylized foliage.
interior of the lid is enhanced in gold vermeil finish and there is gold vermeil decorating the bottom rim. Finished with a beautiful silver collar and circular pedestal base. In good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use. . Hallmarked with the French Minerve 1st standard mark, which depicts the goddess Minerva with a number 1 beside her indicating a silver content of .950/1000 silver (95% silver and a higher grade of finesse than .925 for sterling).
