Le lustre se termine par une superbe boule en cristal.

À propos de Baccarat :
En 1764, le roi Louis XV autorise Louis-Joseph de Montmorency-Laval, évêque de Metz, à établir une verrerie dans le village de Baccarat en Lorraine.
En 1824, Ismaël Robinet, ouvrier verrier chez Baccarat, invente une pompe à air pistonnée facilitant le soufflage du verre. L’année suivante, Baccarat développe la technique du pressé-moulé.
Lors de l’Exposition universelle de Paris en 1855, Baccarat présente notamment deux candélabres et un lustre de dimensions monumentales.
Le 29 octobre 1860, Baccarat dépose sa marque de fabrique au tribunal de commerce de Paris : une carafe, un verre à pied et un gobelet inscrits dans un cercle. Initialement imprimée sur une étiquette en papier, cette estampille sera ensuite directement gravée sur les pièces.
Le cristal Baccarat, d’une excellente qualité, contient au moins 31,7 % de plomb et se distingue par son absence de défauts, reflétant un haut niveau d’exigence. La Cristallerie de Baccarat traverse les générations tout en restant un symbole de l’art de vivre à la française.

Four large daggers of cut crystal adorn its periphery, while at its center, an incredible threading of cut crystal, including a magnificent diamond-point ball, draws the eye. The chandelier culminates in a superb crystal ball.

About Baccarat:
In 1764, King Louis XV authorized Louis-Joseph de Montmorency-Laval, Bishop of Metz, to establish a glassworks in the village of Baccarat in Lorraine.
In 1824, Ismaël Robinet, a glassworker at Baccarat, invented a piston air pump that facilitated glassblowing. The following year, Baccarat developed the pressed-molded technique.
