Advertising for the promotion of Pernot Cookies. It is one of the first brands to make canned prepackaged cookies.
The old Pernot cookie factory was located in the city of Dijon, in the Côte-d’Or in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region.
A 1900 woman, all dressed in blue, goes to a grocer to buy a box of Pernot cookies.
Leonetto Cappiello is an Italian painter, illustrator, caricaturist and poster designer, naturalized French in 1930. His poster career began in 1900 and continued until the 1930s. He remained loyal to the Vercasson printing works until the early 1920s , continued with the combined Printing works and began, at the same period, to work regularly for the publisher Devambez, with whom he signed, from 1921 to 1936, an exclusive contract.
