Adrien Jacques Sauzay was a French painter born in Paris in 1841 and died in 1928. He was a student of the great Italian painter Alberto Pasini who introduced him to landscape painting.
From 1863 he participated in the Paris salons where his talent was quickly rewarded with several medals. He was also found at the Universal Exhibitions in Paris.
