Octagonal barometer in carved and gilded wood according to Torricelli (1608-1647), from the 1st Empire period (1805-1815), XIXth century.
The center of the barometer used to indicate weather variations by the hands stands out against a white background which is set against a blue background.
Decorated with an octagonal giltwood frame surmounted by a giltwood pediment carved with an imperial eagle on a globe surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves and two flags.
Signed “By Sourdat”, “according to Toricelly”.
