The tray decorated with old leather, red gilded with a small iron is in good condition, it is set with a large ingot mold finished in the corners by gilded bronze spandrels, marked in hollow "St Germain".
It opens with a central recessed drawer flanked by two drawers highlighted with bronze moustaches, the drawers are fitted with large falling hands in gilded bronze.
The feet are decorated with a faun's head fall.
The simulated rear face is composed of a decor similar to the front face.
The bronzes are of very fine quality and bear the JHD mark on the reverse.
It bears the stamp of the Hopilliart house on rue des saint pères, in Paris.
