Charles CHAPLIN is a French painter born in 1825 in Les Andelys, a student of Drolling at the School of Fine Arts in Paris, his style is often compared to that of Boucher. He will become the official artist of the Second Empire, the Empress Eugénie entrusts him with numerous works, for the Opera and the Tuileries Palace.
Museums: Orsay, Bordeaux, Lyon, Petit Palais, Florence
