Louis Period Console XVI stamped ohneberg in mahogany with rounded sides opening with a central drawer and two pivoting lockers.

The fluted, rough-edged uprights are joined by a shelf.

Martin Ohneberg received his mastership on July 7, 1773.
Martin Ohneberg (Born around 1738) – Cabinetmaker. Paris. Master on July 7, 1773. He operated a workshop on rue Traversière Saint-Antoine and later cour de la Juiverie. Ohneberg worked for a host of fashionable merchants. He composed his works with care, in a light and sober taste.
Martin Ohneberg was a cabinetmaker of delicate and flexible talent, and also an excellent marquetry artist who often used a rosewood veneer in sheets of a very beautiful quality. He made chests of drawers, corner cabinets and especially drop-leaf secretaries of which he produced an infinite variety. Ohneberg's production is in the Transition and Louis XVI style. XVI. Etienne Garin, rue de Charenton, was one of the founders from whom he ordered their bronze ornaments.
