Biography :
Denis Jullienne – Parisian carpenter, received as a master on July 31, 1775, undoubtedly descended from another Denys Julienne who had been upholsterer to Louis XIV and the Duke of Burgundy at the beginning of the XVIIIth century.
Established on Rue de Charenton, this craftsman successfully devoted himself to the manufacture of bed and seat wood. He was employed by the Presle brothers, fashionable merchants, who placed orders with him for the Marquis de Girardin.
His workshop still existed in 1805.
We owe him pleasant works signed sometimes: D. IULLIENNE, sometimes with a second mark: D. JULLIENNE, which he appears to have used after the other and for a longer period.
