Unique ceramic piece signed by the artist.
The symbolism of the work is inspired by the Bi discs of ancient China.
The Bi disc symbolizes the Celestial Universe which, like it, is round and infinite, representing an opening towards eternal life.
The firing technique used is that of naked raku, partly inspired by the Japanese raku tradition invented in the XVIth century.
The clay used for this work is a chamotte stoneware clay to withstand the strong thermal shocks of firing.
