Large Louis Mirror XVI carved and gilded wood from the late 19th century XVIIIth century

 

An important and decorative mirror in carved and gilded wood, adorned with heart-shaped motifs, rows of pearls, drapery, acanthus leaves and foliage, typical of the decorative elements of the Louis style XVIA high-quality French production, dating from the end of the XVIII1790-1800.

Conservation state :

In good overall condition, with some localized touch-ups to the gilding. The mirror has been replaced.

A substantial and decorative carved and giltwood mirror, adorned with heart-ray motifs, beaded rows, draped swags, acanthus leaves, and foliage—all characteristic of the Louis XVI decorative style. A fine French craftsmanship, dated to the late 18th century, circa 1790–1800.
