This rare and sumptuous console table, typical of the Italian Rocaille style, is distinguished by its richly carved wood with foliage and adorned with an expressive mascaron. Its decoration, enhanced with cream lacquer and gilding, highlights a top artfully painted to imitate Siena marble. The four curved legs, connected by a sculpted and animated spacer, underline the elegance and technical mastery of this work.

Made around 1750, this console illustrates the Italian know-how of the mid-XNUMXth century. XVIIIth century, combining decorative exuberance and harmony of proportions.
