Black lacquered sideboard forming a bar opening with a pivoting door on the front and sides resting on small casters (rear assembly). The front door opens onto two storage levels and the side doors onto two rows of glass shelves.
Built in oak with mahogany interior veneer, carpentry probably carried out by Baptistin Spade.
The piece of furniture is decorated with crackled glazed ceramic plaques on the front and top, representing respectively an elephant and monkeys in a wooded landscape and on the top a flight of birds among the branches.
Lyre-shaped signature on the front panel, lower right corner, attributed to the ceramist Jean Mayodon.
