He trained alone in painting, on the French coast of the Mediterranean where he was raised. Thereafter, he will paint in many regions of France: the Marseille region, the Loing valley, the Seine valley, Chartres, and especially views of Paris and Montmartre, where he lived from 1938 to his death.
