Pair of Empire style armchairs in black lacquered wood. Sabre-shaped rear legs and truncated cone-shaped front legs, wide and deep seat with black, grey and white fabric upholstery. Console-shaped armrests and rectangular openwork backrest in an inverted crosier. An X adorns the backrest and in its centre is a gilded brass mascaron decorated with a gorgon.

Model attributed to Maison Jansen, work from the 1940s.
