Louis Philippe Crepin d'Orléans 1772-1851. A pupil of Joseph Vernet and then of Hbert Robert, he began painting seascapes with the former and landscapes with the latter. He exhibited at the Salon from 1796. Napoleon I commissioned a Seascape from him for the Tuileries Palace.
