Réné Legrand is a French painter born in 1847 who specializes in genre and landscape painting.
He trained with the great painter Pils.
Our charming painting reminds us of this period in the middle of the XIXth century where Asia takes an important place in French decorative arts.
A Kimono, a fan, a screen and also a pagoda-shaped birdcage, all these decorative elements give this painting an atmosphere from the Rising Sun.
