Serge Belloni, nicknamed "The Painter of Paris", dedicated his artistic life to capturing the timeless essence of Paris and Venice. Every day, in all climates, he immortalized the changing faces of the City of Lights and the City of the Doges.

This beautiful painting transports us to Paris, to Montmartre, with this view of the staircase on Rue du Calvaire. Belloni loved to spend autumn and early winter in Paris, where the bare trees revealed the city's architecture and authentic soul. He also spent the rest of the year in Venice to capture that special light.

Biography :

Born in Italy in 1925, Serge Belloni moved to Paris in 1933. He studied at the École supérieure des Beaux-Arts and organized his first exhibition at the age of 21. Throughout his life, he devoted himself to painting, working every day, in all weathers, to capture the essence of Paris.

His travels in Holland allowed him to master the techniques of the Flemish masters, which he perfected throughout his career. His works are present in prestigious collections around the world, from Paris to New York, via Milan and Moscow.
