Vitra is a Swiss manufacturer of designer furniture that produces designer creations. Vitra was founded in 1950. The company reissues furniture by 20th century designers, such as Charles and Ray Eames, Jean Prouvé or Verner Panton and also publishes creations by contemporary designers such as Philippe Starck or the Bouroullec brothers. The Vitra Design Museum built in 1989 in Weil-am-Rhein by Franck Gehry exhibits editions and the company's private collections.
