Voldemar Volkoff (1932 – 2007) is both a ceramist and a painter, his art is inspired by the modern movement which marks the twentieth century, in the tradition of Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. He was one of the last representatives of the Vallauris school. Voldemar Volkoff did his ceramic apprenticeship in Montpellier before working in different workshops in Biot and Antibes, from 1952 to 1954. Then in Vallauris in the workshops of Capron, Anasse , Meynard, Portanier, Reynaud.
He participated in the 1970 and 1972 Biennales, then exhibited in France and around the world. And has been part of the Quartz group since 1994.
