A carved gilt wood arometer decorated with bunches of grape and fruits and with an eagle on the globe surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves and acorns, and by two flags, one of the flags bearing the initials "L" (for Louis XVIII) having substituted the imperial "N" (for Napoleon) when the Bourbons returned in 1815. Signed "Sormany au Palais Royal". France. 19th century. After Torricelli (1608 - 1647).
