A patina gilt bronze clock with. White emailed dial with Roman numerals for hours and Arabic numerals for minutes signed "Lepaute/ A Paris" is supported by an elephant trumpeting standing on a rocky terrace. An allegorical figure blowing in a horn and surrounded by large leaf reed mace (Typha latifolia) is situated above the dial. Wire movement. France. 19th century.
