100 years of the Biron market in Saint-Ouen
To celebrate its centenary, this iconic square in the Saint-Ouen Flea Market invites visitors on a journey through time with a photographic exhibition. The exhibition highlights key moments in its history, from the bric-a-brac stalls of the late 19th century to the elegant galleries that line its walkways today. This visual journey bears witness to the neighborhood's evolution through generations of merchants who have shaped the identity of Biron. Created in collaboration with Alexis Lecomte, historian, lecturer, and creator of the Instagram account Histoire de rue (Street History), this exhibition blends archival images with contemporary views. It invites visitors to explore, as they wander through the square, the 170 art and antique galleries that make up this legendary place.
