A wonderful French 19th century patinated bronze statue.
The statue is raised by a rectangular ormulu base above a decorative ground designed base. Above is a beautiful half naked maiden draped in a wonderfully executed flowring fabric.
The lovely maiden represents Venus asleep on a detailed tree truck. She wears her hair in an updo her head is resting on her forearm.
All original patina throughout.
