A 1st Empire period (1804 - 1815) clock.

Proposed by
Gilt and chiseled bronze clock representing a goddess with a putto. The dial is surrounded on the right by two doves on a cloud, symbol of love, and on the left by a beehive with two bees. The rectangular base on feet in the shape of bird's legs is decorated with a frieze representing a putto between roses and hives. Two nymphs are situated below the enamelled dial signed "Pollard à Amiens", the watchmaker listed in the "Tardy's Dictionnaire des Horlogers Français", p. 527. France. 19th century.
